Six Ways To Host A Bridgerton-Themed Cozy Game Night
I’m a big fan of Netflix’s Bridgerton series, and so far, seasons one and two are my favorites since they adhere more closely to the books than season three. Despite some of the steamy scenes, I actually watch this show with my mom—we just fast-forward through the more romantic parts.
Given our shared love for the Regency period, shabby chic decor, and tea parties, it was inevitable that I would pick up the Bridgerton card game, Love Letters. The game, which is based on Seiji Kanai’s Love Letter, captures the elegance and intrigue of the era perfectly.
If you’re a fan of Bridgerton and want to combine your love for the Regency era with a cozy evening in, hosting a Bridgerton-themed game night combined with a tea party is the perfect way to do it. Here are six tips to create an elegant and inviting evening that will transport you and your guests to the world of the ton.

An Introduction To Cozy Board Games
1. Set The Scene With Regency Elegance
Creating the right atmosphere is key to immersing your guests in the Bridgerton experience. Think soft pastel colors like lavender, powder blue, and blush pink for your decorations.
Adorn your space with lace tablecloths, candlelight, and floral arrangements to mimic the elegance of a Regency drawing room. Bridgerton-themed touches like feather quills, antique books, and vintage teacups will add that extra flair.
Perhaps you want to meet your friends at a local tea shop for a game?
If you’re at home, to complete the ambiance, play the modern songs reimagined in classical style from the Bridgerton soundtrack.

2. Send Out Themed Invitations And Encourage Regency Dress
You don’t have to send out invites, but it is a fun touch. If you’d like to go all out for your cozy game night set the tone from the start with Bridgerton-inspired invitations.
Whether you opt for digital invites or physical cards sealed with wax, use formal language to capture the spirit of the era. Encourage your guests to dress in Regency-inspired attire—think empire waist dresses, gloves, and cravats. If that’s too much, just opt for pretty tea party wear – a dress will work.
This will add to the overall experience and make the night feel even more special.

3. Play The Bridgerton Love Letters Card Game
The highlight of your evening can be the Bridgerton Love Letters card game, where players compete to win the favor of a chosen character by delivering love letters. This game is perfect for the theme, full of intrigue, romance, and a touch of competition—just like the show itself. It’s a great way to engage everyone and keep the Bridgerton theme alive throughout the night.
You may want to have the tv series playing in the background with the sound off. Or not. You may just want to enjoy the soundtrack or classical music while you play the game.

4. Indulge In Bridgerton-Inspired Food And Drinks
Food and drink are essential to any cozy game night, and a Bridgerton-themed evening is no exception. Set up an afternoon tea spread with finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and an array of elegant pastries.

For drinks, offer tea served in fine china and or Regency-inspired cocktails like a classic gin punch or Pimm’s Cup. Don’t forget to include some delectable desserts like macarons, petit fours, or a cake adorned with flowers to tie into the theme.
5. Create A Cozy Crafting Corner
Another fun option to add to your night would be to add a craft. Adding a creative element to your evening with a crafting station where guests can create a Regency-era craft.
For example, you may have them decorate their own Regency-style fans with feathers, silk ribbons and flowers. This nod to the secretive communications often depicted in the series is both a fun activity and a keepsake for your guests to take home. It’s a perfect way to keep the cozy vibe going while also giving everyone a chance to relax and chat.

6. Wind Down With Tea Talk
As the night comes to a close, invite your guests to gather for one last cup of tea. This is the perfect moment to reflect on the evening’s games and activities, sharing favorite moments and enjoying each other’s company. This final touch of coziness will leave everyone feeling content and connected, just as a Bridgerton-themed evening should.
These six tips will help you create a Bridgerton-themed cozy game night that’s elegant, fun, and filled with the charm of the Regency era. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the show or just looking for a new way to bring friends together, this guide will ensure your evening is one to remember.
I’m sharing links to the Love Letter’s game and soundtrack on Amazon, along with my favorite Bridgerton-themed tea. I purchased several for my mother last Christmas and the Queen’s Cake is so good. It taste like fruit cake.

And you can’t have a tea party with out macaroons or Turkish Delight. So good! If you’d like to see the birthday tea party I threw my mother last year where I served these beautiful and delicious Turkish Delight, click on this link to see the post on my Instagram account.
