Grabbing A Cup Of Coffee At Freyeday Coffee Roasters in Lowell, NC

Lowell, NC is a tiny little former mill town outside of Gastonia, NC which in turn is a suburb of Charlotte. It is deceptively rural in nature but hides a cool, quirky side with a row of fun trendy shops dare I say filled with hipsters?

It’s also a place where you can get a really good cup of coffee. And a smile. And a good vibe. When I saw that the “yard” and exterior were whimsically designed with vintage decor, I knew this was my kind of cafe. This business is owned by Alisa Freye who was setting up the backyard for live musicians who were arriving shortly.

Alisa also clearly supports local businesses with local honey for sale. The macarons I purchased with my coffee were made by a Charlotte patisserie and there’s local art everywhere on display and for purchase. Just a really cool quirky space that I found very interesting and inviting. And totally unexpected.

If you’re in the area, you should stop by. Oh – did I mention? The coffee is really, really good.

I purchased the Bee’s Knee’s (which I’m sure I’ve previously mentioned on this site – I love lavender and honey lattes).

No surprise. it was delightful.

Here’s an interview with Alisa, if you’d like to learn more about her and why she opened Freyeday Roasters.
