Three Best Places To Find Great Coffee Around Topsail Island
The search for good coffee never ends. And if you’re on vacation, what’s the first thing you look for? The best place to find your morning (or afternoon) cup of coffee. Topsail Island is home to many good coffee shops, but we’ve found three that we really think are tops. And they each have a little something special to offer the coffee-lover. Whether it’s a chic cafe experience, a laid-back seaside coffee break or a tried and true coffee shop experience, we’ve got something for everyone.
The small towns of Holly Ridge (20 miles away) and Hampstead (27 miles away) are not on the island proper, but if you love good coffee, what’s a little drive?
Diver Surfside Cafe Surf City, NC
From North Topsail Beach and Surf City, take a scenic ride over the Surf City Bridge, and look for the pretty pink house. But don’t be fooled by the exterior. Diver Surfside Cafe offers a minimalist esthetic, killer views of the Intracoastal Waterway and a somewhat west coast-inspired menu with their fresh juices, smoothies and acai bowls. It’s a grown up coffee shop but the kids will love it too. Don’t forget to go upstairs and peruse their selection of books – an oh yeah, those amazing water views.
Sundial Coffee & Tea Holly Ridge, NC
Sundial Coffee & Tea is where you go for your down-home cozy coffee experience. The vibe is both county and coastal, perfect for a coffee shop a stone’s throw from the beach. With plenty of seating and fun merch to take home, this is a cafe you’ll want to visit time and time again. Like all of the shops on our list, Sundial has super-friendly staff to make you feel welcome. Good luck making a decision on what to purchase from their long list of inspired coffee drinks. And don’t forget to pick up local art work with your latte!
Matter More Coffee Hampstead, NC
When you step inside Matter More Coffee, you might think it’s just your basic run-of-the-mill coffee shop. But there’s nothing about this local gem in Hampstead, NC. The customer service elevates this cafe and so does the coffee which keeps customers lining up at the drive-thru (yes, there’a drive-thru!). With a nice choice of milk substitutes and fresh-made baked goods (including gluten-free) to pair with your beverage, you’ll want to visit Matter More Coffee time and time again.
