Four Best Places To Pick Strawberries In South Carolina

Four Best Places To Pick Strawberries In South Carolina

Do you really need a reason to pick strawberries? Come April down South, most folk know that it’s time to put on those shoes you don’t mind getting dirty, grab the family and head to the nearest strawberry patch. And then you’re eating fresh strawberries, canning strawberry preserves and making strawberry cobbler. There are so many ways to enjoy strawberries in the spring time, aren’t there?

If you live in South Carolina, then you know there are plenty of great strawberry farms for self-picking. And we’re sharing four of our favorites!

Bush-N-Vine Farm York, SC

Why is it that farms also have the best ice cream? Bush-N-Vine provides a great strawberry picking experience, but they also have great ice cream, a playground for the kids and pretty flowers. Bring the family (and your dog) and make a day of it.

Like most farms are on our list, Stewart is family-owned. Enjoy down-to-earth, friendly staff who create a welcoming experience for their customers. Don’t forget to stop by the general store for local goods.

Buck & Ann’s Strawberry Patch Greer, SC

Spend a nice day outdoors in the fresh air at Buck & Ann’s. Sweet berries, reasonable prices and friendly staff make this farm a favorite among locals.

The Ivy Place Lancaster, SC

The Berry Farm At Ivy Place

Located in South Carolina, but close enough to Charlotte for a day trip, this location does doubly duty as a special event venue. But the farm is completely separate and very large, so bring your walking shoes. Have fun searching through the leaves for the sweetest berries.

As with all u-pick farms, check out their website, social media or give them a call to make sure they’re open and have strawberries pick. Sometimes, these farms get picked clean! Happy strawberry picking!
